Tripp Lite USB to Serial Adapter Cable (USB-A to RS-232)

The Tripp Lite USB to Serial adapter cable family lets you connect RS-232 serial devices — including modems, digital cameras, PDAs and ISDN terminals — to a USB-A port on a computer, laptop or tablet. These adapter cables feature premium double-shielded construction with tinned copper braid and an aluminum Mylar foil shield, plus gold-plated contacts to reduce crosstalk and EMI/RFI interference. The plug-and-play design requires no external power and supports data transfer speeds up to approximately 230 Kbps. Family variants include single- and multi-port configurations (USB-A to DB9, USB-A to DB25, and 2-port USB-A to dual DB9), options with the integrated FTDI FT232RL chipset and COM retention, and a DB9-to-DB25 adapter in select models. Available in common portable lengths, these cables are designed for connecting legacy RS232 peripherals to Windows, Mac, Linux systems and Android devices that support USB Host Mode (OTG).
