The Skullerz 8952 Hard Shell Bump Cap from ERGODYNE is crafted with a durable polyethylene (HDPE) shell engineered to resist cracking, simplify cleaning and protect against bumps, scrapes and minor head injuries. It uses a ventilated 4-point suspension with an adjustable ratchet for customizable fit — height, rear strap angle and size can be adjusted for comfort and security. The suspension includes a removable, replaceable 4 mm foam-backed fabric sweatband for added comfort during extended wear. The recessed side design permits comfortable integration with earmuffs and other hearing protection, while the short, flat angled brim enhances upward visibility. Typical applications include work in tight spaces and low-clearance areas — mechanics, airline baggage handlers, food processing/manufacturing, in-home inspection and install services, pest control and similar roles that do not require hard hat protection.
