This StarTech.com OM3 multimode fiber patch cable family delivers dependable, high-bandwidth connectivity for modern data networks. Constructed with 50/125 µm OM3 fiber, the cables support high-speed applications including 10Gb, 40Gb and up to 100Gb Ethernet, making them suitable for backbone runs between switches, hubs, routers and SAN equipment. The LSZH (Low-Smoke, Zero-Halogen) jacket reduces smoke and toxic fume release in the event of a fire, improving safety in a variety of installations. Cables are offered with common professional terminations (LC/UPC and SC/UPC) in duplex configuration and are tested to ensure acceptable optical insertion loss and signal integrity. These patch cables are targeted at data centers, central offices, industrial environments, schools and other settings where high-performance, low-smoke fiber cabling is required, and are available in multiple lengths.
