TRIPP LITE HDMI over Cat5/Cat6 extender kits deliver reliable audio/video distribution by transmitting HDMI over Cat5e/6 cabling using dedicated transmitter and receiver units. Common features include support for 1080p video, HDCP, 3D, 24-bit True Color and stereo or 7.1 channel audio where supported. Units provide built-in equalization or signal regeneration and status indication to aid installation and image adjustment; some transmitter units offer an HDMI port for a local monitor. Installation is plug-and-play: connect the transmitter to an HDMI source and the receiver to a display using standard HDMI patch cables, and link the units with 24AWG solid Cat5e/6 cable. These kits are TAA compliant and pass both digital video and audio signals, making them suitable for applications such as digital signage, classrooms, trade shows, churches and office A/V environments.
