Monoprice USB 2.0 Active Male-to-Female Extension/Repeater Cables contain active electronics that boost and recondition timing and signal strength so USB devices can be extended beyond the normal maximum length. The repeater draws power from the USB 5V bus (bus-powered), requires no drivers (plug-and-play), and can be used with cameras, webcams, external hard drives, card readers, keyboards/mice, printers and USB versions of gaming sensors such as the Xbox Kinect and PlayStation 3 Eye. Gold-plated connectors and support for USB 2.0 high speed (480Mbps) help ensure reliable data transfer and signal quality, and the cables are backwards compliant with USB 1.0/1.1. Multiple repeater cables can be daisy-chained to achieve longer USB runs.
