The StarTech.com MDP2VGA2 is an active Mini DisplayPort 1.2 to VGA adapter/dongle designed to connect MiniDP or Thunderbolt 1/2 enabled computers to VGA monitors and projectors. No software or drivers are required. The adapter supports resolutions up to 1920x1200 and 1080p at 60Hz with EDID & DDC pass-through to ensure compatibility between source and display. It supports mDP/mDP++ sources and Thunderbolt-enabled devices (MacBooks, MacBook Air, Mac Mini, Microsoft Surface Pro 1-6, Intel NUC, docks, desktops and laptops). The compact design and 7in (18cm) cable length make it portable for travel and mobile workstations. The adapter supports screw-locking VGA cables to prevent accidental disconnection and has been tested with VGA cables up to 25'. Eco-label compliance includes RoHS, REACH and WEEE.
